Friends of Wilderness Fundamentals Training
FOW wants to invite you to Friends of Wilderness Fundamentals Training on Monday, May 4 at The Ranch from 6:00-7:30 pm, 1800 Ranch Rd. Steamboat Springs.
Fundamentals review training will be offered to any experienced member of the maintenance crews, experienced Ambassadors or newly minted Ambassadors who would like a review. This evening session will be covering Leave No Trace principles, The Wilderness Act, Authority of the Resource and USFS Guidelines for the 2026 season. We will meet in the lounge (upper level) of The Ranch 1800 Ranch Road. There is plenty of parking. We will begin at 6:00 pm on Monday, May 4. Directions are below.
Directions: Follow Steamboat Boulevard East to Clubhouse Rd. Turn right and proceed up the hill, turn sharp right onto River Queen Lane, next turn sharp left on to Natchez Rd., follow this around the curve at The Ranch welcome sign, continue downhill on Ranch Road turning sharp right to the Clubhouse at the base of the hill.

You may have friends who are interested in joining Friends of Wilderness, the next new member training will be Saturday, June 20 at Seedhouse Campground. Ask them to visit the FOW website and reach out there for more information. We really hope you will continue to value the Wilderness and choose to share your volunteer hours with Friends of Wilderness.
